2. The item I purchased in-store is damaged or defective. Am I able to return it?

We highly recommend you check your items for any chips or cracks before you leave the shop. Once the item leaves the store, we can't accommodate for any issues. If you have any issues with an online order, please don't hesitate to reach out to us on the respective platform!

3. Do prices differ in-store and online?

Yes, prices do differ between in-store and online. We wanted to make it easier for those who can't visit us in person to still enjoy our Talavera. Our online prices account for factors like shipping, packaging, and platform fees, as well as the extra care we take to ensure your pieces arrive safely and in perfect condition.

5. What materials are used to make our Talavera products?

All of our pottery is either ceramic-glazed terracotta or glazed ceramic.

6. What is the difference between baked clay glazed in ceramic and terracotta?

Ceramic-glazed clay has a smooth, waterproof finish, making it ideal for indoor planters, decorative tiles, and tableware since it resists water and stains. Terracotta, on the other hand, has a natural, porous surface, which allows for breathability but can absorb moisture and stain easily, making it more suitable for rustic decor. While glazing adds durability and vibrant color options, unglazed terracotta offers a classic, earthy aesthetic.
